Overview

The single-chip µPD61253 devices provide digital and analog video recording functions, including video decoding with 3D comb filtering, decoding of worldwide TV audio signals, high-quality MPEG-2 encoding, cryptography for content protection, and a streaming processor for reception of digital broadcasts with various conditional access systems.


Features

µPD61253 LSIs provide single-chip solution for digital/analog video recording functions on personal computers. They have video decoder with 3D comb filter, worldwide TV audio decoder, high quality MPEG-2 encoder, cryptography for content protection, and stream processor for digital broadcast reception with various conditional access systems.
µPD61253 LSIs provide high quality and cost effective solutions both for digital and analog tuner card.


  1. Support for high-definition digital TV streaming on PC with CAS functions.
  2. Integrated cryptographic engines for secure streaming and key exchange.
  3. High-quality MPEG encoder with simultaneous 3D comb filter and 3D noise reduction.
  4. Integrated worldwide TV audio decoder, supporting BTSC, EIA-J, NICAM and A2 standards.
  5. PCI-express rev.1.1 compliant, and 8/16-bit parallel interface for USB microcontrollers.
